Federal Hill

Situated a short walking distance south from Baltimore's downtown business district and the Inner Harbor, Fed Hill is a popular neighborhood for Baltimore's young, active citizens. Named for a large grassy hill that doubles as a community park and landmark, Federal Hill is home to many of Baltimore's bars and restaurants. Attractions

At the center of the neighborhood is the historic Cross Street Market, fully renovated and reopened in 2019 and is surrounded by the increasingly popular bar and restaurant scene that attracts large crowds on Friday and Saturday nights, football Sundays, and any Orioles home game. The stadiums are just a short walk away. There is no shortage of fine dining options, pubs, dance bars, or outdoor activities. Culture

The renowned American Visionary Arts Museum, Maryland Science Center, and perennially popular beach volleyball courts right on the harbor are all located in the neighborhood, and the top of Federal Hill Park hosts a "Shakespeare in the Park" series during summer months. The 8x10 music venue hosts small concerts, performances, and open mic nights throughout the year, and many bars in the neighborhood offer trivia or paint nights during the week.

Fed Hill has one of the biggest nightlife scenes in the city with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Though parking in Federal Hill can be a bit tight at times, the neighborhood is home to a full garage that is open to residents and visitors alike. Additionally, residents can use Digital Harbor High School's lot during after-school hours. But, it is undoubtedly the place to be in Baltimore City, and there is literally something to do in Federal Hill at all hours of the day.
